Norwood Park is regularly described as one of England’s best and finest examples of a Georgian Country House Wedding Venue. Norwood Park Country House is an exclusive use venue set on extensive private grounds which provide a stunning backdrop for your Wedding Photographs as well as a charming setting to celebrate your wedding day with family and friends.

Norwood Park was awarded its marriage license in 1998, but couples were married under the Ancient Oak in Saxon times, so marriage is part of the great history of Norwood. Presently, Norwood Park is licensed to hold Civil Marriage Ceremonies in 3 stunning settings. The first is the elegant Drawing Room seating up to 75 guests, the second is the show stopping Gallery seating up to 150 guests and finally, if you dream of an outdoor wedding, you can host your ceremony under the Gazebo set for 100 seated guests and 50 standing guests.

The Gallery is the perfect setting to host those larger affairs and can accommodate a total of 150 guests for a Wedding breakfast. If you are looking for something more intimate, the Georgian Dining Room in the Main House can be set for between 18-50 guests.

Once the vows are spoken, speeches delivered, dining done and formal photos complete, it is time to part with family and friends. The Gallery offers ample room for up to 250 guests with room for your Band or DJ, a large dancefloor, full bar and outside courtyard for relaxing.

Norwood Park is ideally located less than a minute from the small market town of Southwell, 15 minutes away from the rail services at Newark and approximately 20 minutes from Nottingham City Centre, but set in 100 acres of ancient deer parkland, Norwood Park is a haven of tranquillity.

The House has been home to the Starkey family for five generations, and is not open to the general public, allowing guests to enjoy the privacy of this beautiful period home in complete exclusivity.

Head west on A6008/Upper Parliament Street toward King St
Turn right at A6008/ Sherwood Street Continue to follow A6008
A6008 turns slightly left and becomes A60/Trinity Square
Continue to follow A60, Go through 1 roundabout
At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A614/Ollerton Road
Turn right at B6386/Oxton Road, Continue to follow B6386
Go through 1 roundabout
Turn left at B6386/Southwell Road; continue to follow B6386
Turn left at Cooks Lane
Turn right onto Halam Road
Turn Left into Norwood Park Main Entrance
FROM Mansfield – (Approx 29 mins)
Follow the A617 to Southwell
Go through 2 roundabouts
Turn right onto Southwell Road
Southwell Road turns slightly left and becomes Lower Kirklington Road
At the roundabout turn right onto the Ropewalk
The Ropewalk bends to the right and becomes Queen Street then Halam Road
Turn right into Norwood Park Main Entrance
From Newark – (Approx 20 mins)
Follow the A617 to Southwell
Leave the A617 onto the A612 to Southwell
Upon entering Southwell turn right at the BP Garage
At the mini-roundabout turn left onto the Ropewalk
The Ropewalk bends to the right and becomes Queen Street then Halam Road
Turn right into Norwood Park Main Entrance
